Pattern density is evidence. Enough structured observations, collected without a predetermined theory, can make a scientific riddle presentable rather than mythological. Think of this as a collection basket, not a clinical trial. We don't know what will come in. We don't know who will find it useful or when. We only know that observations carefully collected are better than observations lost.
There is currently no clinical framework that accurately accounts for what many people have observed firsthand under magnification, in real time, on recording, repeatedly. The existing diagnostic categories do not fit. The dominant clinical response has been dismissal. That dismissal has caused real harm.
This is not a support community. It is not a place to find answers. It is a place to deposit observations carefully, structurally, over time, so that when the right researcher asks the right question, there is something real to work with.
We know it's not an official or recognized diagnosis.
We use it here because you searched it. We don't use it to validate any particular theory of cause, infestation, contamination, or otherwise. We use it because it is the word available to people describing a real experience.
Requiring a better word to describe an experience in order to be taken seriously is a form of dismissal.
The name and the stigma attached to it can be separated.
